Postdoctoral Fellowship

The University has Post-Doctoral Fellowship programme with an aim to identify active researchers and to provide them with a platform to carry out research in frontier areas. This is a full-time programme, where the selected fellows work under the specified mentor.

Duration of the Programme

The fellowship is purely a temporary assignment. In the first instance, it will be tenable for the period of one year.

The tenure can be extended based on the progress of the candidate and the recommendations of the Research Progress Committee. The maximum duration of the programme should not exceed three years.

Fellowship and Grants

• A Post-Doctoral Fellow is entitled to the monthly fellowship at par with the salary of an Assistant Professor of Nirma University at the time of appointment.
• The fellow will be eligible for an annual contingency grant of Rs 1,00,000/-.
• The contingency grant can be used for the purchase of books /journals/stationary/minor equipment/consumables/chemicals, registration of national or international conference, domestic travel, etc.
• The books, journals, and equipment purchased out of the contingency grant will become the property of the University.
