UG Research

Nirma University serves as a foundation for students’ overall development. In line with the University Research Policy, the Institute of Pharmacy also envisions basic, applied, and socially relevant research apart from conducive learning. Institute of Pharmacy, Nirma University, has established an Undergraduate Research Council to encourage the interest of UG students in research-related activities. These activities include providing guidance for innovative ideas, engaging students in practical and real-life problem solving, and nurturing their creativity. This initiative aims to pique students’ interest in research by providing mentorship and pursuing multi-disciplinary research in pharmaceutical sciences.

Objectives:

  1. To promote UG research and related activities.
  2. To help UG students in understanding the importance of research.
  3. To facilitate students with eminent mentors for discussions and understanding the research problem and writing scientific problem definition.
  4. To involve students in the research domain of their interest, training through PG/PhD counterpart or handholding by doctoral students.
  5. To allocate a faculty and senior student as a mentor to support interdisciplinary groups and developing a network among peer groups.
  6. To nurture the ideas through financial support under Idea Lab.
  7. To promote student exchange with reputed organizations of India and abroad.

  2. UG Research Talk on “Essentials of Research: Literature, Writing and Project Execution” on October 24, 2024 to PharmD 3rd year students by Dr. Hardik Bhatt, Associate Professor and Head, Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Institute of Pharmacy, Nirma University
  3. Enrollment of Pharm.D. Students (Year 3) under UGRC and allotment of Mentors
