The Institute of Pharmacy at Nirma University proudly presents Research Talk Series 3, held on February 14, 2024.
We were honored to host Dr. Kasthuri Venkateshwaran, Senior Research Scientist at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, California Institute of Technology, USA. Dr. Venkateshwaran, a distinguished expert in Space Microbiology, serves as the Group Lead of the Biotechnology and Planetary Protection (BPPG) team. His ground breaking work spans across NASA’s Planetary Protection, Astrobiology, Space Biology, and Human Research Program.
In his captivating presentation titled “Chemical Frontiers in Space: Managing the Microbial Metropolis,” Dr. Venkateshwaran delved into the intriguing realm of space microbiology, unravelling the complexities of microbial ecosystems beyond our planet.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from esteemed faculty members, as well as bright graduate and postgraduate students of the Institute of Pharmacy, Nirma University.
The session commenced with a warm welcome from Prof. Dr. Priti Mehta, who graciously introduced our esteemed guest to the eager audience.
