On July 16, 2024, Mr. Tarun Patel, Manager of Formulation and Development at Elysium Pharmaceuticals Limited, Vadodara, Gujarat, delivered an insightful alumni lecture titled “From Lab to Industry: The Exciting Applications of Fluid Bed Drying” at the Institute of Pharmacy, Nirma University, Ahmedabad. Mr. Patel’s lecture focused on the pivotal role of fluid bed drying in the pharmaceutical industry. He began by explaining the basic principles of fluid bed drying, including the process of using a stream of air to dry particles in a fluidized state, which ensures uniform heat and moisture removal.
