Cosmos Confluence 2025 – Celebrating World Space Week at Nirma University

The Institute of Pharmacy, Nirma University proudly organized “Cosmos Confluence 2025” to celebrate World Space Week 2025, observed globally from October 4–10 every year. 🌍✨

Celebrated in over 95 countries, World Space Week highlights humanity’s achievements and aspirations in space exploration, inspiring generations to look beyond our planet. 🌠

The event featured a panel discussion and an e-poster competition based on the theme — “Dreams to Space Habitats: Humanity’s Next Leap.” 🌙

🪐 The panel discussion, centered on the future of “Living in Space,” delved into topics such as:

• Human adaptation to extraterrestrial environments 👩‍🚀
• Life support systems and sustainable space habitats 🏗️
• The search for life beyond Earth 🔭
• Emerging career paths in human space programs 🚀

🎙️ Eminent speakers included:

• Shri Krunal Joshi, Scientist-SG, Space Applications Centre (ISRO), and Former Counsellor (Space), Embassy of India, Washington DC, USA
• Astha Zhala, Space Architect & Founder-CEO, AAKA Space Studio
• Maulesh Gadani, Medical Officer, ISRO
• Bhalamurugan Sivaraman, Astrochemist, Physical Research Laboratory (PRL)

The insightful session was moderated by Dr. Priti Mehta, Professor, Institute of Pharmacy, and Registered ISRO Space Tutor in Space Life Sciences.
