Institute of Pharmacy, Nirma University, is proud to announce its participation in the World’s Largest Space Analog Mission (Oct 13–26, 2025) — a global initiative uniting 17 habitats across five continents, involving 200+ scientists from 25 countries to simulate Moon and Mars settlements.
The Indian Analog Mission, led by AAKA Space Studio, was hosted in Laiari, Kutch, Gujarat, chosen for its Mars-like terrain.
Representing Nirma University, Prof. Dr. Priti Mehta (Recognised Space Tutor), Dr. Nasreen Munshi, Dr. Anshu Srivastava, and Dr. Shital Panchal, along with student coordinators Dhaval Solanki, Vidhi Pandit, and Samyak Patel, contributed cutting-edge research on:
🧬 Microbial monitoring
💊 On-site drug development
💓 Human physiological evaluation (vital signs, sleep, and performance monitoring)
Their pioneering work in space pharmacy aims to develop medical self-sufficiency for future astronauts on the Moon and Mars — supporting India’s vision for human space missions such as the Bharatiya Antariksh Station.
