7-Day Residential NSS Camp – Highlights of Day 01 & Day 02

The NSS Unit of the Institute of Pharmacy, Nirma University, commenced the 7-day residential camp with enthusiasm and a strong commitment to meaningful community engagement. The first two days focused on understanding village needs, promoting cleanliness, enhancing awareness, and encouraging sustainable practices.

🌼 Day 01 – Village Visit, Cleanliness & Plantation Drive

Volunteers arrived at the campsite and settled into the residential setup, beginning the day with high energy and teamwork.

Key Activities:

• 🧹Cleanliness Drive under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan
• 🌱Tree Plantation supporting the Green Glorify Movement

The day concluded with valuable learning experiences and a shared sense of purpose as the team embarked on their service journey.

🌻 Day 02 – Awareness on Welfare Schemes, Organic Farming & Waste Management

Day 2 centered on community outreach and awareness generation, strengthening the volunteers’ connection with the local villagers.

Key Activities:

• 🗣️ Door-to-door awareness on waste segregation, recycling, and clean surroundings
• ♻️Demonstrations promoting systematic waste disposal
• 📚Awareness campaign on Government Welfare Schemes related to healthcare, education, women empowerment, insurance, and agriculture
• 🌾Poster displays on organic farming, highlighting soil health, sustainability, and chemical-free cultivation

These initiatives encouraged community participation and promoted long-term sustainable habits.
