The Institute of Pharmacy, Nirma University proudly observed National Pharmacovigilance Week 2026 (17–23 September) under the theme:
“Promoting Rational Use of Medicines through Pharmacovigilance: A Step Towards Safer Healthcare.”
As part of the celebration, an expert talk on “Promoting Rational Use of Antimicrobials through Pharmacovigilance: From ADR to AMR” was delivered by Dr. Bansari Patel, MD (Pharmacology), Medical Safety Manager, APCER Life Sciences.
The expert session provided valuable insights into antimicrobial safety, rational prescribing, adverse drug reaction (ADR) monitoring, and the critical role of pharmacovigilance in combating antimicrobial resistance (AMR).
🧾 Adding a creative and student-driven dimension to the celebration, students also showcased informative leaflets on Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR), highlighting the importance of responsible antimicrobial use and awareness among the community.
