The Gujarat State Pharmacy Council (GSPC), in collaboration with the Institute of Pharmacy, Nirma University, celebrated World Pharmacist Day 2026 on 25 September 2026 at Institute of Pharmacy, Nirma University, Ahmedabad. The event brought together distinguished members of the pharmacy fraternity, academicians, professionals, and students to celebrate excellence and achievement in pharmacy.
Prof. Dr. Gopal Natesan, Director, Institute of Pharmacy, Nirma University, welcomed the gathering and extended a warm welcome to the distinguished dignitaries and guests. The event featured the prestigious Shri Ramanbhai Patel Excellence Awards in Pharmacy 2026 and the felicitation of university rankers from across Gujarat, recognizing academic excellence and significant contributions to the pharmacy profession.
The programme was graced by Shri Pankajbhai Patel, Chief Guest, who delivered the keynote address, and Shri Prashantbhai Korat, Guest of Honour, who delivered the inaugural address. Shri Rasikbhai Patel and Dr. Shrikant Joshi, Member, PCI, also addressed the gathering, with Dr. Joshi delivering a motivational address and highlighting the significance of the programme. Dr. Anil Nayak, President, IMA, and Shri Kashyapbhai Patel, Vice President, GSPC, also contributed to the proceedings.
The celebration provided a meaningful platform to honour excellence, recognize achievement, and inspire the next generation of pharmacy professionals, while highlighting the vital role of pharmacists in healthcare and society.
