Placement Cell constantly interacts with industry so as to maintain healthy and mutually beneficial relations between industry and academia. Placement Cell works towards providing close links with pharmaceutical industries, contract research organizations and other state and national level R&D organizations so that it helps the institute in student Placements / Training / Curriculum improvement etc. It strives to find out the gap between the needs of the industry and the end product of the Institute. Placement Cell tries to facilitate and enhance quality of interaction between the institute stakeholders and Industry.
The placement cell at the Institute of Pharmacy has a dedicated Manager of Corporate Relations to direct the placement activities. The cell is also supported by faculty placement coordinators and student coordinators, working under the guidance of the director and in association with the respective heads of departments. Placement Cell facilitates student visits to industries, industrial training, project placement, and campus interviews.
Placement cell undertakes various activities of training and grooming of students in terms of conducting mock interviews, GD sessions, resume writing workshops, HR meeting, Mock Placement aptitude test, SWOT analysis etc. It has forged good relationship with many reputed companies in field of pharmaceutical and life sciences.
