IQAC

The establishment of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) as per guidelines of NAAC, is a major step in maintaining long term quality standards of the Institute. It acts as a nodal agency of the Institution for coordinating quality-enhancement activities, including adoption and dissemination of best practices and apply standards and benchmarks for various academic and administrative activities of the institution.

The role of IQAC is internalisation and institutionalisation of quality enhancement initiatives in teaching, research and academic administration in-line with quality improvement aspects of university-level IQAC.

IQAC meeting is conducted every month to plan, initiate and supervise the progress of institutional activities. The committee comprises of university representative, senior faculty members, alumni, and students.

  • Significant and meaningful contribution in the post-accreditation phase.
  • Act as a catalyst in the institution for stimulating the culture of continuous improvement.
  • Development and application of quality benchmarks or parameters for the various academic and administrative activities of the institution.
  • The organisation of workshops and seminars on quality related themes and wide dissemination of the proceedings of such activities.
  • Recording and monitoring quality measures of the institution.
  • Prepare an annual plan, compile and submit an annual quality assurance report (AQAR) to the University.
  • Facilitating the creation of a learner-centric environment conducive to quality education and faculty maturation to adopt the required knowledge and technology for participatory teaching and learning process
  • Collection of feedback from students, parents and other stakeholders on quality related institutional processes

IQAC-I regularly conduct  Expert Lectures, Workshops, Seminars, Discussion, Forums, etc for quality enhancement of teaching, research and administrative aspects of the institute.

Some of the  activities  include, but not limited to:

  1. Discussion sessions on OBE -AOL implementation
  2. Reference writing and scientific writing workshops
  3. Awareness sessions on patenting in pharmaceuticals
  4. Lectures on Industry-Academia interface
  5. Sessions on career avenues in the pharmacy profession
  6. Preventing plagiarism in pharmaceutical research related lecture cum workshop
