Minimum qualification for admission to PharmD Course under Nirma University

A pass in any of the following examinations –

 (1)      10+2 examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the subjects, Mathematics or Biology or Both

 (2)      D.Pharm. course from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India under section 12 of the Pharmacy Act.

 (3)      Any other qualification approved by the Pharmacy Council of India as equivalent to any of the above examinations.

Provided that a student should complete the age of 17 years on or before 31st December of the year of admission to the course.

  1. Institute of Pharmacy, Nirma University (IPNU)-Pharm.D. Admission Committee by advertisement in newspaper as well as on website will announce the dates of invitation of application, last date of application, announcement of merit and other required details.
  2. To get the admission online application on the IPNU website is mandatory from the website:https://admissions-ip.nirmauni.ac.in/student/default.aspx
  3. A candidate has to upload the self-attested copies of requisite certificates and testimonies as specified in the application form along with.
  4. A candidate shall require to make payment of Rs. 1200/-as a non-refundable amount as a part of application fees. Acknowledgement receipt will be generated online and that is required to be uploaded with the application from.
  5. Physical document verification is mandatory and will be carried out at IPNU.
  6. Merit list will be declared by IPNU as per the declared key dates and based upon the same admission process will take place.

Merit list shall be prepared with percentile marks obtained in theory subjects (Physics, chemistry and biology or mathematics)

Criteria for deciding merit order in case of candidates with equal merit marks shall be based on the percentage of percentile marks obtained in the qualifying examination in following sequence namely (theory only)

  1. Mathematics/Biology and Chemistry
  2. Mathematics/Biology and Physics
  3. Physics and Chemistry
  4. Mathematics/Biology
  5. Chemistry
  6. Physics
  7. English
  8. Aggregate Marks

1.     After preparation of merit list, IPNU will announce the admission process to be held at IPNU based upon merit list and Candidates will be informed by email and/or website notification.

2.     Allotment of seats shall be made on the basis of merit and availability of seats.

3.     Students are required to report at the IPNU (10/11/2022, Thursday at 9.00 am) for confirmation of admission and payment of the fees as Rs. 2.5 lakh / 5,000 USD or its equivalent INR for the first year on the day of admission through Demand draft/Cheque prepared in the name of Institute of Pharmacy Under Nirma University

4.     In case the seats remain vacant after completion of first round of admission process, such vacant seats will be displayed on official website and next admission round may be conducted.

  • Diploma Pharmacy (D.Pharm.) 1st and 2nd year marksheet (if applicable)
  • Any other certificates need to be submitted as the Admission Committee deems necessary
  • All attempt(s) certificates are required in case of more than one trial in SSC and/or HSC Examination(s) and D.Pharm.

All original documents are to be verified at IPNU as per the announced dates of document verification/admission published on IPNU website/Newspaper Advertisement. Document verification process is mandatory and must be completed before final admission. If any document found incorrect/false the admission will be cancelled. Also, legal actions will be taken against the candidate/ or parents submitting such documents.

* In case of any discrepancy, the decision of the admission committee shall remain final.

The international students can apply under one of the following two categories:

Category 1: Foreign Nationals having non-Indian passports (FN), Or foreign students having a non-Indian passport and also having the OCI or PIO card can apply under the OCI/PIO/FN supernumerary category that has 10% seats reserved.

The students from SAARC countries can apply under the FN category. However, they will be charged the fees at par with the Indian Nationals fees structure.

Category 2: Students whose parents are currently working in Gulf countries Or South-East Asia can apply under the CIWGC-SEA supernumerary category that has 5% seats reserved. The students must hold Indian passports and should have passed qualifying exams either from India or outside India.
