Master of Pharmacy (MPharm) is a two-year (Four Semesters) postgraduate programme approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) for the following specialisations.

  • 33% of the seats in each specialization are allocated through the Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC), Government of Gujarat. For the admission procedure, candidates must refer to the official ACPC Website.
  • 67% of seats are managed by the Admission Committee of the Institute of Pharmacy, Nirma University.
  • Candidates are encouraged to apply for both quotas to maximize their chances of securing their preferred specialization.

Guidelines for admission on 67% seats (Institute Level Quota)

  • Applications must be submitted exclusively online through the “Online Admission Application Portal” of Nirma University. No downloadable form is available.
  • GPAT qualified candidate must upload the GPAT scorecard along with the online application.
  • Applicants are strongly advised to carefully read the step-by-step guide before initiating the application process.
  • The online form allows saving entries mid-process; however, candidates must click “SAVE” after every update to ensure their data is recorded.
  • Fields such as the applicant’s Full Name, Mobile Number, and Email ID are mandatory and cannot be edited once entered.
  • A non-refundable processing feeof ₹1,250 must be paid online (via credit card, debit card, net-banking, UPI, or digital wallets).
  • If, at any point during the admission process, it is discovered that a candidate does not meet the eligibility criteria or has submitted incorrect information, their application will be immediately canceled.
  • Applicants must have passed the qualifying examination (B.Pharm or equivalent) in the relevant discipline from a recognized university, securing a minimum percentage or CGPI as prescribed by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) and/or Government of Gujarat.
  • Candidates appearing for the final semester of the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply. They must submit their final results immediately upon availability via email (mpharm.admission@nirmauni.ac.in) or by fax (scanned image).
  • Candidates who have completed their qualifying degree from a university other than Nirma University must obtain an Eligibility Certificate from Nirma University. This certificate can be obtained on the spot during the admission process upon payment of ₹1,000.
  • Merely appearing for counselling does not guarantee admission.
  • Candidates must produce original documents at the time of admission.
  • Priority will be given to applicants with a valid GPAT score, and admission will be offered based on GPAT merit.
  • Vacant seats after the admission of GPAT candidates will be offered to Non-GPAT candidates based on their merit in the National Level MCQ-based Entrance Test, conducted on the day of counselling at the Nirma University campus.
  • The entrance exam pattern will be similar to the GPAT examination, consisting of multiple-choice questions
  • In case of a tie in the GPAT merit or identical scores among Non-GPAT candidates, the merit of the qualifying examination (B.Pharm marks) will be used as the tie-breaker.
  • Admission decisions made by the Admission Committee will be final and binding in all matters of interpretation and disputes.

15% of total seats in each program being conducted at the constituent institutes of Nirma University, is available for admission to International Students under the Supernumerary categories like Children of Indian Workers in Gulf Countries and South East Asia (CIWGC-SEA), Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) and Foreign Nationals (FN); out of which one-third i.e 5% seats are earmarked for CIWGC-SEA and 10% for OCI/FN. If the OCI/FN is not filled, the quota is available to CIWGC-SEA.

Categories for International Students

A) Children of Indian Workers in Gulf Countries and South East Asia (CIWGC-SEA)
The candidates whose parents are working in Gulf countries or South East Asia are eligible under this category.

B) Overseas Citizen of India (OCI)
The persons who are citizens of other countries (except Pakistan and Bangladesh) who at any time held an Indian Passport, or who or either of his parents or any of his grandparents was a citizen of India by virtue of the provisions of the Constitution of India or Sec 2 (b) of Citizenship Act, 1955 (Act No. 57 of 1955) are eligible under this category. Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) are considered under this category. Earlier OCIs were called PIOs.

C) Foreign Nationals (FN)
The citizens of all countries other than India, who are not of Indian origin as defined under PIO are eligible under this category. This category includes SAARC countries also.
