About
Dr. Vivek Vyas is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry at the Institute of Pharmacy, Nirma University, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. With 19 years of teaching and research experience, he is an expert in molecular modeling, drug design techniques, software, and in silico studies for the design of novel molecules. Dr. Vyas is listed in World's Top 2% Scientist Published by Stanford University for the year 2024. Dr. Vyas has extensive training in medicinal chemistry, including the synthesis, purification, and characterization of novel compounds. He has also gained valuable experience working on major and minor research projects sponsored by ICMR and GUJCOST, respectively, as Principal Investigator (PI). Dr. Vyas has published over 87 research and review articles indexed in SCOPUS, with more than 1600 citations and an H-index of 21. He serves as an Editorial Board member for the journal SAR and QSAR in Environmental Research (Q2), which has an impact factor of 2.3 (2023), published by Taylor and Francis. Additionally, Dr. Vyas is a reviewer for several prestigious international and national journals, including Journal of Medicinal Chemistry, ACS Omega, ACS Applied Bio Materials, New Journal of Chemistry, ChemistrySelect, JBSD RSC Med Chem, BioOrg. Chem., BMCL, CADD, SAQE, MCR, AJC, and IJC B, among others. He participated in Staff Mobility Program at the University of Turin (UNITO), Italy, supported by the Erasmus+ program of the EU. Dr. Vyas is a recognized Ph.D. guide at Nirma University and is currently supervising three Ph.D. candidates. He has also guided 27 PG students as a research guide/co-guide.
