Co-curricular activities enhance and build on students’ experiences and learning by participating in various events. At the Institute of Pharmacy, different events are organised which provide the students, new and exciting opportunities. Institute is especially organise various co-curricular activities such as public lectures, extramural lectures, Nirmaquest and Foundation Day.
Public lecture: Public lectures are organised for the community on the topic of general interest while expert talks are arranged for students of the Institute of Pharmacy. The institute has invited many eminent personalities like Dr Sanjib Bhattacharya, Professor, Southwest University, Chongqing, China; Dr Raghuveer Chaudhary, Novelist, poet and critic, Jnanpith award winner, Gujarati and Ms Rujuta Diwekar, Sports Science and Nutrition Expert, Celebrity Nutritionist, Mumbai.
Extramural lecture: Extramural lecture is a kind of lecture organised for all the students/staff/faculties across the university being delivered by eminent personalities at our campus for inspiration and motivation. The institute organises extramural lectures to expose students to a variety of topics beyond their curriculum and provides platform to exchange ideas with various eminent speakers from India or Abroad. Padma Shri Geet Sethi recently addressed the faculties, staff, and students on “Excellence”.
Foundation day: Foundation Day of the Institute of Pharmacy is celebrated on October 1 every year. Various competitions like Poetry competition, Debate, Elocution, and Extempore are held on the occasion of the Foundation Day. Apart from this, faculty members, staff, alumni and existing students of BPharm are felicitated for their outstanding performance. The meritorious students of first, second and third year of BPharm are also awarded with the gold medals.
NIRMAQUEST: Institute of Pharmacy is regularly conducting educational programs in diversified fields for pharmacists. Since 2005, the Institute has been organising NIRMAQUEST, a state/national level quiz competition for Pharmacy and other students.
