As part of the International Women’s Day Celebrations 2026, the Institute of Pharmacy, Nirma University organized a “Self-Defense Workshop” on 3rd March 2026 for girl students of B.Pharm Semester I, M.Pharm Semester II, and newly admitted Ph.D. scholars (2025 batch) under the aegis of the Women Development Cell (WDC), Nirma University.
The workshop was conducted by Mr. Rushiraj Jaiswal and his team from Rushiraj Karate Kungfu Federation, Ahmedabad.
The session focused on:
✔ Situational awareness
✔ Building assertiveness
✔ Practical self-defense techniques
✔ Responding effectively to potential threats
Through interactive demonstrations and hands-on training, participants gained essential self-protection skills and confidence to handle challenging situations. The students participated enthusiastically, making the session both impactful and inspiring.
