The Institute of Pharmacy, Nirma University celebrated National Science Day on 27th February 2026 under the aegis of the Student Welfare Board. The event aimed to promote scientific temper, innovation, and interdisciplinary learning.
The programme featured an inspiring expert lecture, “Journey to, and on, the Moon,” by Prof. Santosh Vadawale, Deputy Head, Astronomy & Astrophysics Division, Physical Research Laboratory, in the presence of Prof. Bhalamurugan Sivaraman from the Atomic, Molecular and Optical Physics Division. The session offered fascinating insights into lunar exploration.
Science exhibition stalls showcased innovative student research projects, models, and live demonstrations. Students from different Institutes of Nirma University and Nirma Vidyavihar also presented creative scientific ideas, adding fresh perspectives to the event. The visit of school students from Nirma Vidyavihar provided valuable exposure to higher education research and hands-on learning experiences, reinforcing curiosity-driven exploration.
The celebration highlighted the vital role of science in societal development and inspired participants to pursue innovation with purpose.
