On this World Pharmacist Day 2024, we proudly celebrate the contributions of the Institute of Pharmacy, Nirma University, to global health.
The Institute of Pharmacy, Nirma University remains committed to advancing professional knowledge while fostering employability, character development, and social responsibility. From driving pharmaceutical research to enhancing patient care and healthcare systems, we affirm our dedication to promoting patient safety and healthcare quality.
In line with this mission, World Pharmacist Day 2024, celebrated on 25th September, was marked by a special initiative at Jeevansandhya Old Age Home in Naranpura, Ahmedabad. Our undergraduate PharmD and BPharm students conducted a health camp where they performed essential health checkups, including BMI measurement, glucose testing, and blood pressure monitoring. The camp also featured a personalized counseling session, ensuring that the elderly residents received tailored health advice. The session highlighted practical interventions to improve their well-being, demonstrating the role of pharmacists in community service.
This event served as a powerful reminder that everyone, especially our senior citizens who have contributed so much to society, deserves care and attention. By coming together as a team, we can build a supportive network that uplifts the lives of those who often feel isolated. This camp emphasized that help is not only needed but also deeply appreciated.
