📢 Expert Lecture at Institute of Pharmacy, Nirma University 🎓✨
The Institute of Pharmacy, Nirma University, organized an Expert Lecture on “Integrated Health for Brain-Gut Axis and Pharmacology of Biologics in Inflammatory Bowel Disease” on March 12, 2025.
We were honored to host Ms. Bhavana Patel, Clinical Pharmacist at Johns Hopkins HealthCare, Baltimore City County, Maryland, USA, who shared her expertise on the role of biologics in IBD treatment. She explained how biologics target specific inflammatory pathways, improving treatment efficacy while minimizing systemic side effects. Additionally, she highlighted the importance of lifestyle modifications as complementary strategies for disease management.
📌 The session was highly beneficial for Pharm.D (Year II) and M.Pharm (Semester II) students, providing them with valuable insights into the Integrated Health Approach in IBD Management.
