The Undergraduate Research Council (UGRC), Institute of Pharmacy, Nirma University, organized an expert talk by Dr. Darshna Thakker, MD (Ob-Gyn), Senior Gynecologist and Director of Sarjan Health Care, on December 3, 2024. The session, titled “Mental Health and Stress Management,” was attended by Pharm D students and faculty members.
Dr. Thakker addressed key issues related to mental health and procrastination, offering practical strategies to break the cycle of procrastination and manage stress effectively. She emphasized the importance of empathy among peers and demonstrated through role-playing how meaningful connections can help alleviate stress.
The session was coordinated by Dr. Bhagawati Saxena, Assistant Professor and UGRC member at IPNU.
