Dr. Tejas M. Dhameliya, Asst. Prof., Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Institute of Pharmacy, Nirma University, has received the Summer Research Fellowship 2023 for 56 days of training during June 08-July 09, 2023 and November 05-28, 2023 organized by Indian Academy of Sciences (IASc), Bengaluru, Indian National Science Academy (INSA), New Delhi, and National Academy of Science (NASI), Prayagraj. He has worked under the supervision of Dr. Chandrakumar Appayee, Asso. Prof., Discipline of Chemistry, IIT, Gandhinagar for the project entitled as “Synthesis of L-Proline Based Chiral Catalysts for Morita-Baylis Hillman Reaction.” The training was given in the research laboratory of Discipline of Chemical Science, IIT-Gandhinagar. The training involved the synthesis of L-proline based chiral catalysts, having versatile applications for the enantioselective Morita-Baylis Hillman Reaction including the synthesis of diphenyl methanol derivatives of L-proline based catalysts.
