The 20th Foundation Day Celebrations of the Institute of Pharmacy, Nirma University (IPNU) on 30th September 2023, marked a significant milestone in IPNU’s journey of academic excellence as the Institute completed its 20 glorious years of existence. The event was graced by the presence of Prof. C.G. Joshi, Director, Gujarat Biotechnology Research Centre, Gandhinagar as the esteemed Chief Guest, while Dr. Anup Singh, Director General, Nirma University presided over the function, adding an aura of distinction to the occasion.
The function commenced with a warm welcome by Prof. Gopal Natesan, Director, Institute of Pharmacy and he also took the opportunity to present the annual report highlighting the major achievements and accomplishments of the Institute in 2022-2023. Prof. C.G. Joshi, Director, Gujarat Biotechnology Research Centre, Gandhinagar delivered an inspiring speech, imparting valuable insights to the audience. Dr Anup Singh, a distinguished figure in the academic world, presided over the function, delivering a thought-provoking address that resonated with everyone present. His words of wisdom added a touch of wisdom and significance to the event.
A short documentary on the Institute of Pharmacy was shown and a new logo made by the students to commemorate the 20 years of IPNU, was also launched.
The heart of the Celebrations was the felicitation of faculty, staff, students, and alumni for their outstanding achievements.
In recognition of the exceptional research contributions of our faculty members, Research Awards were presented, honoring their valuable contributions to various fields of knowledge. These awards served as an encouragement for further groundbreaking research endeavors. Institute of Pharmacy recognized and rewarded academic excellence amongst the students with a grand prize distribution ceremony. It was heartening to see the dedication and hard work of our future leaders.
The celebrations also provided a platform to honor and felicitate our accomplished alumni, individuals who have carved a niche for themselves in their respective domains. The Prominent Alumni Awards were bestowed upon these outstanding individuals, serving as a testament to the legacy of excellence nurtured within our institution.
Various pre-events like Debate, Elocution, Extempore, Poetry recitation, Rangoli & T-Shirt painting competition, and Pharma Expo were also organized as a part of the Celebrations and the winners were given away prizes.
The presence and participation of all members of the Institute of Pharmacy community made this day truly special, reinforcing IPNU’s commitment to continued growth and academic excellence. The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Dr. Udit Chaube, Coordinator of Foundation Day Celebrations 2023.
