Department of Pharmacology at the Institute of Pharmacy, Nirma University organized one day workshop on Medical Writing under the umbrella of Centre of Continuing Education on March 12, 2024 with the aim to provide the insights on various aspects of Medical Writing. Dr. Anupama Ramkumar, CEO & Principal Consultant, Arkus Research Pvt. Ltd., Ahmedabad graced the event as distinguished guest and dwelled upon the topic “The Evolving Role of the Medical Writer and the Changing Landscape”. Dr. Snehal Patel, Associate Professor, Department of Pharmacology, Nirma University conducted the session on “How to Write Abstract” along with Dr. Jigna Shah. Dr Bhagwati Saxena and Dr. Richa Gupta, Assistant Professor, Department of Pharmacology, Nirma University explained various components of Protocol Writing. Dr. Mithun Singh Rajput and Dr Anjali Menon, Assistant Professor, Department of Pharmacology, Nirma University, discussed case report form in detail.
A total of 52 participants from across the Gujarat have attended the workshop and participated actively. This one-day workshop on Medical Writing provided excellent insights on changing landscape of the medical writing and various component of medical writing such as abstract writing, protocol writing and case report form.
