Institute of Pharmacy, Nirma University, Welcomes New Pharm.D. Students
On July 29, 2024, the Institute of Pharmacy, Nirma University, held an Orientation Programme for the new Pharm.D. students. The event began with a warm welcome from Prof. Dr. Gopal Natesan, Director of the Institute of Pharmacy.
We were honored to have Prof. Dr. KarenBeth H. Bohan, Interim Associate Dean for Admission and Professor of Pharmacy Practice at Binghamton University, USA, as our chief guest. Prof. Dr. Bohan delivered an insightful keynote address, providing a comprehensive overview of the Pharm.D. curriculum in the United States. She emphasized the critical roles and responsibilities of Pharm.D. graduates in healthcare, patient management, and interprofessional collaboration, highlighting the global impact and diverse opportunities of the profession.
Prof. Dr. Natesan welcomed the new students and provided an overview of the Pharm.D. program at Nirma University. He discussed the significance and scope of the Pharm.D. degree within India’s healthcare sector, emphasizing the expanding opportunities for graduates in both clinical and research settings.
