The held on September 8th, with the theme “Pharmacists Strengthening Health Systems: Angadaan Mahadaan” focused on promoting organ donation organized by the Institute of Pharmacy, Nirma University in association with the Pharmacy Council of India. The event was graced by distinguished guests, including Shri Dilipbhai Deshmukh Dada, a renowned Social Worker in the fields of Environment and Education, Honourable Dr. Montukumar M Patel, President of the Pharmacy Council of India, and Shri Ranjit Kumar Jha, President of Mahamana Malaviya Mission, Gujarat & Director of Instacare Healthcare and Nutraceuticals.
Prof Dr Gopal Natesan, Director, Institute of Pharmacy, Nirma University extended a warm welcome to all the attendees. He emphasized the importance of pharmacists in healthcare and encouraged the gathering to support the theme of organ donation. Shri Dilipbhai Deshmukh Dada talked about organ donation which was educational and inspiring. His speech highlighted the critical need for organ donors, dispelled myths, and empowered pharmacists to take an active role in promoting and facilitating organ donation. Dr. Montukumar M Patel, President of the Pharmacy Council of India, delivered a motivational speech and stressed the pivotal role of pharmacists in raising awareness about organ donation and ensuring the ethical use of medications. Attendees were encouraged to take a pledge for organ donation, emphasizing their commitment to saving lives through this selfless act. Shri Ranjit Kumar Jha delivered a speech about Mahamana Malviya Mission’s efforts in working for social causes and strengthening the moral fabric of the country. The presence of esteemed guests and thought-provoking discussions highlighted the crucial role of pharmacists in promoting organ donation and healthcare in India. The event left a lasting impression, reinforcing the commitment of the pharmacy community to contribute to the well-being of society. Prof Tejal Mehta, Head, Department of Pharmaceutics, Institute of Pharmacy extended a heartfelt vote of thanks to all the participants, guests, and sponsors for making the event a grand success.
