Institute of Pharmacy, Nirma University organized a virtual preconference workshop in collaboration with Indian Pharmacological Society as a part of 6th Nirma Institute of Pharmacy International conference (NIPiCON) and Indian Pharmacological Society (NIPiCON-IPS 2022) on 16th February 2022. The workshop provided an overview of pharmacovigilance in India and recent updates in the field of pharmacovigilance. Dr. Y. K. Gupta, President, AIIMS, Bhopal and President, AIIMS, Jammu; Dr. Jai Prakash from IPC Ghaziabad , Dr. Subhadeep Sinha from Hetero Drugs, Hyderabad; Dr. Bikas Medhi and Dr. Ajay Prakash from PGIMER, Chandigarh and Dr. B Dinesh Kumar, NIN, Hyderabad shared their insights related to translational pharmacovigilance, Nutraceutical pharmacovigilance, pharmacovigilance of biosimilars, ADR and Causality assessment. Dr. Shivprakash, President, IPS updated about the activities of Indian Pharmacological Society. Dr. Manjunath Ghate, Director, Institute of Pharmacy informed about the pharmacovigilance status in India. The workshop was attended by more than 187 delegates across India. The workshop was successfully coordinated by Dr. Jigna Shah and Dr. Shital Panchal of Department of Pharmacology.
