The morning prayer in the temple marked the beginning of Day 2 of the NSS CAMP. After the prayer, all the volunteers went on village exploration. Day 2 focused on raising awareness of health, hygiene & vaccinations. To accomplish this, NSS Volunteers were separated into groups and went to various places in the village, where they interacted with the residents and gave them information on the significance of health, hygiene & vaccination. Further, despite the hectic schedule NSS volunteers prepared the food for themselves. During the afternoon session, a visit was scheduled to the Sabarmati Paper Industry, which produces paper used for secondary packaging of pharmaceutical and cosmetic products. The Sustainable Development Goal 12 was brought to the attention of NSS Volunteers during their tour of this industry since the industry uses a recycling process to manufacture paper, which is linked to SDG 12.
