🔬 Scientific Workshop on Hot-Stage Microscopy at Institute of Pharmacy, Nirma University 🔍
The Department of Pharmaceutics, Institute of Pharmacy, Nirma University, in collaboration with Hexon Instrument, Navi Mumbai, successfully organized a scientific workshop and hands-on training session on Hot-Stage Microscopy on April 9, 2025.
The session was conducted by Mr. Gyanesh Singh, Technical Expert from Hexon Instrument, and was attended by 42 postgraduate and doctoral research scholars.
The workshop began with an insightful lecture by Mr. Singh, covering the fundamental principles, operational features, and diverse applications of Hot-Stage Microscopy in pharmaceutical research and material characterization.
In the second half, participants experienced a live demonstration of the Hot-Stage Microscope. Mr. Singh conducted thermal analyses on student-provided samples, offering detailed interpretations of thermal transitions, polymorphism, and phase changes—key aspects in solid-state characterization and formulation development.
The session concluded with an interactive discussion, where participants gained practical insights into sample preparation, data acquisition, and result interpretation, enriching their understanding of advanced analytical techniques.
