Prof. Dr. KarenBeth H. Bohan, Interim Associate Dean for Admission and Professor of Pharmacy Practice from Binghamton University, Johnson City, NY, USA, visited the Institute of Pharmacy, Nirma University, from July 29, 2024, to July 31, 2024. During her visit, Prof. Bohan delivered the keynote address for the orientation program of the new 3rd Batch of PharmD students, where she discussed the crucial role of pharmacists in hospitals with new students and their parents.
Prof. Bohan also engaged with faculty members, PharmD students, and research scholars to discuss job opportunities, research collaborations, and hospital experiences in the USA. Throughout her visit, Dr. Bohan and the Director of the Institute of Pharmacy, Nirma University, strategized the implementation of a dual degree program, student mobility, and further research collaborations. Additionally, Dr. Bohan conducted expert lectures for B. Pharm final year and PharmD students.
