A one day workshop on the “Basic Cell Culture Techniques” was conducted by Department of Pharmacology, Institute of Pharmacy, Nirma University under Center of Continuing Education, Nirma University on 19th March 2022. The workshop intended for beginners who wish to work on animal/human cell culture. It was supported by lectures and demonstrations on cell culture and their application to pharmacological and biological research.The sessions were conducted by Dr. Neeta Shrivastava, Deputy Director, B.V. Patel Education Trust, Ahmedabad on “Basics of cell Culture Techniques” and by Dr. Snehal Patel, Associate Professor, Institute of Pharmacy, Nirma University on “Overview of cell culture laboratory and equipment”. The workshop got very good response and total 14 participants attended the workshop. It was a successful program by imparting advanced training to PG students and research scholars on basics of cell culture techniques.
