Ms Khushali Parekh, PhD Scholar at Institute of Pharmacy, Nirma University under the guidance of Prof Tejal Mehta has received the prestigious Prime Minister’s Fellowship for Doctoral Research for the project entitled “Development and efficacy study of topical Nanoformulation for the treatment of Atopic Dermatitis”. This is a unique scholarship jointly sponsored by Science & Engineering Research Board (SERB), Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India and Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).
The aim of the Prime Minister’s Fellowship Scheme is to bring industry closer to academia through cutting-edge research and give the benefit of dual exposure to both industry and academia to PhD scholars. With companies from across the world and top notch academic and R&D institutions of India partnering in this scheme, the Government and industry are hopeful of creating a new kind of research movement in the country which will nurture the talent of bright young scholars and make them industry-ready.
