  • Dr Tejal is presently working as Professor and Head in Department of Pharmaceutics, Nirma University, Ahmedabad. She has done her PhD from Sardar Patel University, Vallabh Vidyanagar and BPharm and MPharm in "Pharmaceutics & Pharmaceutical Technology" from Gujarat University, Ahmedabad. She has 21 years of teaching and 16 years of research experience. Her area of research is Dissolution enhancement of sparingly soluble drugs and formulation development of conventional and novel drug delivery systems using concepts of QbD-DoE. She has published more than 70 research papers in journals of national and international repute. She has also presented several papers in national and international conferences. She has authored a chapter in a multi-authored book on Novel Drug Delivery Systems. She has received Best Paper Award 2004 from Association of Pharmaceutical Teacher?s of India for publishing paper in Indian Journal of Pharmaceutical Education. She also received R V Patel Best MPharm thesis award in the Guide category. She has also authored the book ?Practical Manual of Pharmaceutical Engineering? and ?Practical Manual of Pharmaceutical Dosage Forms". She has filed 3 patents related to her research. She has successfully completed GUJCOST sponsored minor research project related to formulation development. She has delivered lectures in various staff development programs. She is a recognised PG and PhD Guide of Nirma University. She is a reviewer of national and international journal in the research area of Pharmaceutics and Drug Delivery. She is a life member of APTI, IPGA, and Society of Pharmacovigilance of India.
